How to dress like an everyday princess

December 6, 2016

It’s all Disney’s fault. Every little girl dreams of being a princess one day. I even dressed up as a princess for Halloween three years in a row, until the day my mom got fed up and told me it was time to get a new costume. I was heartbroken; I’ll never forget that moment.

Now that I’m all grown up, I still dream of being a princess. And just because you’re no longer five years’ old doesn’t mean you can’t incorporate some effortlessly girly and glamorous ideas into your daily outfits.

Here’s how I found ways to dress like an everyday princess:

  • Wear a full skirt, preferably below the knee: There’s nothing girlier than that. It’s feminine yet fun and flirty at once. And you can wear it both to work or on the weekend. I like to combine it with a sweater for a slightly casual look. And also not to look like I’m taking myself too seriously.
  • Add a headpiece: Anything with flowers will do. You could be wearing jeans and a t-shirt, but add the headpiece and you’ll look ultra feminine. Love.
  • Wear soft makeup: I’m a big fan of light pinks, and warm blush tones. Keep your makeup light, and add a soft pink to the lips. I’m personally a big fan of “kinda sexy” by MAC cosmetics.

Just because Prince Harry is taken doesn’t mean we can’t all still be princesses.
